Inequality map

[edit]

Hi, I left a message on the inequality map you created pointing out a possible error regarding at least Japan. Hoep you can check and fix if necessary, many thanks for making the map.--Hontogaichiban (talk) 04:04, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Potential Superpowers

[edit]

Well, let's defend it together! ;) --CEBR (talk) 00:24, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Brazil as a superpower

[edit]

Well, you should keep your both eyes very open and be careful in here (I know you're an experienced editor). Xenophobia is something real and far stronger than you may imagine. Many editors have a very powerful prejudice against Brazil. First are the Hispanic-Americans (any of them: Argentines, Peruvians, etc...), second are some Americans who believe that Brazil is an all jungle and barbaric nation. I'm not joking: it is that ridiculous. And be warned: they will try to take you out of the game. That has happened to me. Since Brazilian editors here are a less than an united group (in fact, we barely talk to each other), things can get pretty hard to us. I asked them to create a separate discussion on tha article, to make everything easier. Once it's done, we can have a proper and perhaps sane discussion. Be careful, though. --Lecen (talk) 12:02, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Still, our opinion can easily be regarded as biased, for obvious reasons. You need to find other sources. --Lecen (talk) 13:37, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I exercise no prejudice against Brazil, this has been purely a WP:RS issue. However Limongi's most recent citations are an adequate start to improve the article. Thank you Limongi. I suggest we now wait and see other editors opinions on Brazil and stop the recent forum type discussion we have been having. I moved the two most recent posts here to avoid that from happening.TalkWoe90i 16:40, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Comandante Ferraz Station

[edit]

Limongi (talk) 02:15, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, got it. Great idea, make the honors and set a stub on Criosfera 1. You're right. Krenakarore TK 02:23, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
checkY Done. Just added the infobox to Barão de Teffé H-42 and created the stub for Criosfera. Tomorrow I will try to expand it.. too tired now, time for bed. Limongi (talk) 03:08, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
An infobox is needed for Refuge Pe. Balduino Rambo, Refuge Engineer Wiltgen, Refuge Emílio Goeldi, Refuge Astronomer Cruls. There's some info on the first two at the Ref. Now, working on the text of PROANTAR. I think the with more info on Comandante Ferraz station we will have to create another article entitled 2012 Comandante Ferraz Brazilian Antarctic Base Fire and move the content out of that article. You could do that. Enjoy the work.........:) ! Krenakarore TK 16:36, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Will do, Sir. Good job on the articles! Limongi (talk) 18:04, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As for the great work, I haven't even started yet. Oh by the way... you can find a link to my email on my userpage, under my username. Tem email pra gente trocar umas figurinhas...:) ? Krenakarore TK 13:19, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Good, good. Now let me see your stamps. Oh by the way, there's only one fire incident of our station in Wikipedia, but I'm afraid the title is still wrong. You see ? It's expanding itself without much effort. What the readers need now is that we keep it clean and presentable. The rest goes on. Krenakarore TK 14:52, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

VLS

[edit]

Just to let you know, I've reverted your move of VLS-1 V03 to 2003 Alcântara VLS accident. The page was moved per a discussion at WT:SPACEFLIGHT, in line with a new naming convention about pages for individual launches. In this situation there is no reason to deviate from the standard model, so a unilateral change would not be appropriate. --W. D. Graham 08:27, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Dilma

[edit]

Sorry, my bad. Some editors like to add "His/Her Excellency" where it is not used domestically, but only as a diplomatic honorific. So I have removed it here out of routine. Sorry for my mistake. Kind regards --RJFF (talk) 17:59, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know if the prime minister of Portugal is styled "His Excellency" in-country as well? --RJFF (talk) 18:00, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I understand. In Brazil we use an antiquated manner of style. For example, the formal style of address of the President is "His/Her Most Excellent Sir/Madam President of the Republic" (Sua Excelência o Senhor/Senhora Presidente da República) and more commonly "His/Her Excellency the President of the Republic" (Sua Excelência o Presidente da República). The spoken style is "Your Excellency". This is also true in most other Portuguese-speaking countries (Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, etc). Limongi (talk) 18:15, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do they keep the title after retiring? Are ex-presidents addressed in the same way? --RJFF (talk) 18:31, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, they only keep the title while in office. Limongi (talk) 18:47, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway, such honorific ways of addressing people in office does not have a place in an encyclopedia. --L.Willms (talk) 16:59, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your Signature and a word of advice

[edit]

Hello Limongi. Even though I am not an admin, I've note that your signature Limongi (talk) as you posted on WP:ITN/C may be a bit of concern here. As a word of advice: According to WP:CUSTOMSIG, Images, as tempting as it may be, increase server load, which puts strain on the way Wikipedia operates on. I'd recommend looking at ([4]). Soviet King (talk) 04:12, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changed. Thanks for your advice! Limongi (talk) 20:15, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, but don't take it personally. I generally loved your signature, but what can I say, the Wikipedia policies are overwhelming really. Anyways, enjoy Wikipedia. Soviet King (talk) 00:33, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Is there any way we can connect in real time? Do you have Skype, Gmail or Facebook accounts? Felipe Menegaz 19:59, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Limongi. What Felipe is trying to do is to contact all Brazilian editors that might be of valuable assistance (such as you) and revive the Wikiproject Brazil. Every Brazilian here is by him/herself. The idea is to tighten our bonds, help each other, and create and healthy, helpful and happy environment for Brazilian users. You're a veteran here, and you could really be useful. Think about it. Regards, --Lecen (talk) 20:21, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regional power

[edit]

Oi Limongi, eu preciso de sua ajuda. Me pode ajudar? [5] The same anonymous user is trying to include Argentina with false sources. He believes that Argentina should be included, but only added sources to support his opinion, but none of them talk about Argentina as a regional power. His sources are only in Spanish, which is my native language so I can tell you for sure that they do not support his claims. All I want to demonstrate is that, so far, he is basing the inclusion of Argentina on a personal view not in realible sources.

Regional power = Potencia regional in Spanish by the way. Obrigado pela sua ajuda. AlexCovarrubias ( Talk? ) 00:31, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Revive Wikiproject Brazil

[edit]

Limongi, you are aware by now that Felipe Menegaz is trying to revive the Wikiproject Brazil so that all editors interested in Brazil may have a place to find aid for reviews, copyedit, topic discussions, conflict resolutions, etc... We need a place where we can all discuss together what to do, instead of relying on private messages to each one's talk page. Please, place your name on the list of participants of the Empire of Brazil task force and add it to your watchlist. --Lecen (talk) 01:12, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I've been busy this week, so I didn't have a chance to reply... but I would definitely like to help. I've signed up for the Empire task force. Limongi (talk) 01:15, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's great! I'm really happy to see that you're going to help us. Do you have any suggestion of other editors who might be interested to join us? --Lecen (talk) 01:26, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
CEBR might be interested. Can't remember any other editors from the top of my head, but I will ask around! Limongi (talk) 02:05, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
He is barely editing, but I'll try anyway. Limongi, please contact me through e-mail (there is an icon on the top of my talk page). --Lecen (talk) 03:37, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Limongi! Do you have a Skype account? If not, you can download it here and follow the steps to register. I'm looking forward to a direct communication between all editors interested in the reactivation of WikiProject Brazil. Best regards; Felipe Menegaz 23:20, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I'm not talking about audio conversations but a service of instant messages, because it would facilitate the discussion between the many editors. Felipe Menegaz 21:42, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Surtsicna

[edit]

Surtsicna has reported us at the ANI for not sharing his views. See here. I also reported him here. He insists on removing the piece of information that Teresa Cristina of the House of Bourbon was a direct descendant of King Louis XIV, the most famous Bourbon. It seems he~s willing to go the very end to acchieve his goal. --Lecen (talk) 19:45, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP Brazil in the Signpost

[edit]

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Brazil for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. –Mabeenot (talk) 05:03, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Banners / Userboxes

[edit]
Do we need a Template:Cabinet of Brazil and a Template:Ministries of Brazil? I'd like to add them to the various articles for ministries, but should we add only one, or both? I personally like just "Cabinet of Brazil".
Should there be a separate Template:Brazilian ministries infobox, when there's a robust general Template:Infobox government agency?
(I just started working on Brazil-related articles after a period of studying Portuguese and wow. There's much work to be done and very few editors compared to Project Japan.)
Thanks for all you do. Prburley (talk) 17:37, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Otto Kirchner (painter) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NBIO because none of the sources cited in the article are reliable, and I was unable to find any reliable sources to establish notability. There has also been a notability template on the article for 11+ years.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
